Experience / Background:

During the course of the past 24 years as an educator I have enjoyed experiences in many areas.  I started my teaching career in 1989 as a 2nd grade teacher for Stamps Public Schools.  I eventually moved to a 6th grade math teacher in the district.

In 1999 I applied and was hired to become the K-6 Math Specialist for Southwest Co-op.  This was a new program at that time.  I spent 5 years  in this capacity where I assisted the efforts of schools to align and design their math curriculum, move toward standards based teaching, and make data driven decisions in regard to their math program.

Beginning in the 2003-2004 school year I moved to the position of  Teacher Center Coordinator/Assistant Director.  In this role, I served districts in all areas of professional development including: data analysis, standards-based teaching, curriculum design and alignment, assessment and instruction and long range professional growth planning.

The 2012-13 school year started another chapter in my education career. I accepted the position of Director for SWAEC.  I love working for Southwest Co-op and hope under my tenure we continue to grow and support all needs our member districts.

Hobbies / Interests:
Some of my hobbies are shopping (especially for shoes), reading, spending time relaxing and laughing with friends, supporting the Razorbacks as they play ball and travelling.
